The third quarter of 2023 was no different from the first 2 of 2023 as we kept up our momentum with corporate photography and videography throughout the 3 months.  Once again we were blessed with such a variety of different events and shoots which as you know is what we thrive on. Assisting clients in resolving content-related challenges or gaining a clear understanding of their desired end results can sometimes prove more complex than initially anticipated. However, holding an initial meeting can effectively address these issues, and, most importantly, engaging in open and honest discussions about each other’s expectations can significantly contribute to both parties’ satisfaction with the eventual outcome.

The corporate events ranged from numerous Women’s Day events including ones hosted by Toyota and UPL which for me was one of the highlights of the year as they had Gift of the Givers founder Dr Imtiaz Sooliman giving an inspiring speech to all the women present.  I left that event feeling on top of the world and full of inspiration for our country, that man is amazing.

We live streamed and photographed a DA event at the Durban City Hall which, despite the miserable weather, was actually a lot of fun.  The city hall should be used more often as it is such a marvellous setting for an event.

We continued our unusual amount of coverage of golf days as we enjoyed Sizabantu Piping’s well organised golf day at Mount Edgecombe Country Club.  Golfers enjoyed the day out from the office by chasing a little white ball around the beautiful course.  Due to the large field there was a shotgun start which meant that one four ball teed off at every hole at exactly 12pm and then continued until they were all away.  Trying to capture every four ball along with action shots was almost impossible.  I went around and around the course so many times I eventually got confused.

An unusual shoot was when we photographed the brand new Sipetu Hospital in the Eastern Cape situated in the middle of nowhere.  It had only been open for 5 days so everything was nice and shiny new.  I ended up photographing every single feature of the hospital from the kitchen to the operating theatres to the morgue(I did not open any fridges). Continuing with hospitals, Geoff, had to cover a feature on a medical procedure at a local hospital in KZN and was invited into the operating theatre to capture the procedure.. he took one photo from far and left.  I would have done the same as there is no point in having a photographer pass out on the operating floor during an op.

The list is quite extensive but the following events or companies provided us with opportunities to showcase our work and commitment to the industry:

Old Mutual conference at Zimbali; Vodacom Durban July; ATKV at the Durban Playhouse; Pick n Pay Wine and Food Festival at Chris Saunders Park Umhlanga; BMK Trucks; the launch of the new Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max car at the Oyster Box and Hartford House; Bioafrica at the Durban ICC; conferences at the Durban ICC; conferences at the Sandton Convention Centre; etc

To find out what we did in the first part of the year please go to 2nd Quarter  or for the 1st quarter.
